The Burnt Biscuits (Story)

The Burnt Biscuits (Story)

When I was a kid, my mom would prepare special breakfast every now and then. And I remember one night in particular, after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!
When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said: Honey, I love burned biscuits.
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned.
He wrapped me in his arms and said, Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides - a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone! You know, life is full of imperfect things.....and imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else.
What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other’s faults - and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.
And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!
We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!
Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket - keep it in your own.
God Bless You..... now, and always....
So Please pass me a biscuit, and yes, the burnt one will do just fine.!.!.!.!
And PLEASE pass this along to someone who has enriched your life... I just did!

Every Day Is A Gift

untitled
Every Day Is A Gift
A man of 92 years, short, very well-presented, who takes great care
in his appearance, is moving into an old people’s home today.
His wife of 70 has recently died, and he is obliged to donate
his home for orphan house.
After waiting several hours in the retirement home lobby,
he gently smiles as he is told that his room is ready.
As he slowly walks to the elevator, using his cane,
I described his small room to him, including the sheet hung
at the window which serves as a curtain.
- "I like it very much", he said, with the enthusiasm of an
8 year old boy who has just been given a new puppy.
"Sir, you haven’t even seen the room yet.” I wonderedly asked.
" That has nothing to do with it ", he replied.
" Happiness is something I choose in advance.
Whether or not I like the room does not depend on the furniture,
or the decor – rather it depends on how I decide to see it & how
I look at it."
" It is already decided in my mind that I like my room.
It is a decision I take every morning when I wake up.”
“I can choose. I can spend my day in bed enumerating
all the difficulties that I have with the parts of my body that
no longer work very well, or I can get up and give thanks
to heaven for those parts that are still in working order. "
" Every day is a gift, and as long as I can open my eyes,
I will focus on the new day, and all the happy memories that
I have built up during my life. "

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

This rare sketch of possible passenger seat designs for the Harley-Davidson Rocker concept bike shows that the entire process all starts with pen, ink, and paper.

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

The Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations Plant is the home of the company's signature V-Twin engine, which is detailed in these complex blueprints. The completed engines are sent to bike assembly plants .

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

These intricate design schematics show an early, internal view of the Harley-Davidson engines built at the Powertrain Operations facility.

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

Before being cast or assembled into Harley-Davidson engines, parts are created in resin, clear plastic, or other materials to test their construction and function.

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

Before a bike is built into a concept and fitted with an engine, the company's designers and artists model its frame by hand out of clay, as seen with this V-Rod mockup model.

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

The Harley-Davidson V-Twin engine sits in the middle of this XR1200 mockup to demonstrate how engineers build test constructions to study engine placement and styling.

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

After clay modeling and styling mock-ups, final custom construction with all working parts--including the functioning V-Twin--went into this Harley-Davidson VSRC V-Rod Muscle.

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

Once a new design is constructed and the motorcycle is fully equipped, components are wired into a computerized data-gathering test unit that analyzes multiple aspects of the bike's performance.

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

About 100 human workers operate during two daily shifts at the Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations plant, but Swedish-made robots like this one do assembly, welding, and inspection work on the company's assembly line.

Designing Of A Harley Davidson Engine

Engine components and other Harley-Davidson parts used at the Powertrain Operations facility can be treated and modified with chrome, black matte, graphite, and other styling options.

Laptop Or Notebook - Know The Difference

Laptop Or Notebook - Know The Difference

[1] NOTEBOOK COMPUTER:
A standard notebook has the following features:
1. Ultralight. Less weight is better.
2. 4 - 5 hour battery life.
3. No internal floppy drive.
4. Minimal graphics subsystem.
5. No internal DVD or CD system.
6. 12" - 14" TFT screen.
7. Low profile (thin).
8. Integrated modem and network connection.
9. Smallest possible keyboard that retains functionality.
10. Low power consumption Celeron/Centrino or Sempron style processor.
A notebook computer is designed to provide mobile computing that won't break your back carrying yet still offer all the power the mobile users requires for work and some leisure pursuits.
This portability normally comes at a price. The level of minituarization involved comes at a cost and high end notebooks can prove to be quite expensive.
[2] LAPTOP COMPUTER:
Now for the laptop computer. Again look at the name. A laptop is designed to sit on your lap and you can therefore expect it to be quite large and loaded down with features and power. The standard laptop computer would have some ,if not all, of the following features:
1. 14" - 17" (widescreen) TFT screen.
2. Nvidia GeForce or ATI Radeon graphics subsystem.
3. Internal DVD-ROM or DVD-RW drive
4. Large full featured keyboard.
5. 3 hour+ battery life.
6. Upgradeable.
7. Integrated modem, network, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities.
8. High quality integrate audio and speaker system.
9. Low power consumption, high performance Intel Centrino style processor.
[3] Finally
(1) NOTEBOOK is quite opposite that of the LAPTOP.
(2) NOTEBOOKS offer reasonable power and extreme portability.
(3) LAPTOPS are designed to be capable of replacing an entire desktop PC if necessary whilst still offering desktop performance in a mobile platform.

We Must Keep Walking

We Must Keep Walking

Keep Walking.....
The Organs of your body have their sensory touches at the bottom of your foot,
if you massage these points you will find relief from aches and pains
as you can see the heart is on the left foot.
Typically they are shown as points and arrows to show which organ it connects to.
It is indeed correct since the nerves connected to these organs terminate here.
This is covered in great details in Acupressure studies
God created our body so well.
He made us walk so that we will always be pressing these pressure points and thus
keeping these organs activated at all times.
So, keep walking..
